We’re REEL excited!

Everyone’s favorite family-friendly fishing tournament and camping weekend will be here before you know it! Please join us to camp and fish the weekend at
Forsgren’s 7th Annual Fishing Derby!

Fishing not your thing (yet)? This year we’re excited to do a cornhole tournament and fishing lessons for newbies!

May 16th, 2026

9:30 – 10:30: Fishing lessons

10:30 – 2:30: Fishing competition and cornhole tournament

2:30: Results check-in

3:00: Award ceremony

We Provide:

  • Delicious food (dinner Friday, lunch and dinner Saturday)
  • Drinks (kid and adult-friendly)
  • Bait and flies
  • A fishing boat
  • Good vibes

You’ll need:

Duck Valley Fishing Permit
Purchase a permit to fish on the reservation at one of these tribe approved locations.

Your fishing gear!

  • Fishing pole
  • A chair/tube to fish from
  • An eye on the prize

Mountain View Reservoir at Duck Valley Indian Reservation

  • Meet at the Forsgren camp (sites 8-13).

DIRECTIONS & CAMP LOCATION:

  • Head east on I-84 from the Boise area
  • Take exit 90
  • Follow Old Highway 30 through Mountain Home
  • Turn south onto Idaho State Highway 51 from Airbase Road.
  • Total travel time from Boise is approximately 2 hr 10 mins

Overnight camping:

If you’re feeling adventurous, we also have a great time camping together! Join us Friday night, Saturday night, or both – we’ll provide delicious meals and great company both nights.
