Duties and Responsibilities:

Under guidance from senior engineering staff, a H&H modeler/engineer’s responsibilities include:

  • Prepare planning and design documents for various floodplain development projects
  • Perform H&H analyses of moderate complexity
  • Develop new H&H models based on available information and engineering judgement
  • Modify existing H&H models to suit project goals/needs
  • Plan and design flood control facilities including basins, channels, and diversions
  • Prepare local floodplain development permits and associated supporting documentation
  • Prepare FEMA permit applications (CLOMR, LOMR) and supporting documentation

Position Overview:

Building on our 59-year legacy and established presence throughout the western US, Forsgren Associates is experiencing steady growth. We are looking for an energetic CAD Drafter who is eager to be involved on a wide range of civil engineering projects. Qualified candidates should be comfortable proactively working together with other staff to continue to grow our practice. The candidate should be proficient with AutoCAD and or MicroStation. Civil3D knowledge is a plus.

Typical responsibilities you can expect:

  • Collaborate with our engineers to design, draft, review and evaluate engineering plan sets
  • Have a strong working knowledge of standard drafting/designing techniques and procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and work in a team environment
  • Create civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Civil engineering drafting skills using AutoCAD or MicroStation

You’ll make an impact if you have experience using:

  • AutoCAD Civil3D
  • GIS
